Yeah my middle school band teacher used to tell us it all the time. "Bring an extra reed or murphys law will kick in and your only reed will break." bassically its what could go wrong can go wrong...something like that he mostly used the reed interpretation of it lol

You go to a casino and you play a slot machine and you lose about $100. You get up and leave....only for someone else to play the same machine and THAT person wins the jackpot after ONE spin!!!! Grrr!!
