Yes it's easy to buy your own island in Dubai. It's called The Wold Islands. However, it's not cheap. One tiny Island is worth 20 million Dollar o_0

seem to recall lots of islands off scotland going cheap ..

on the other hand life is hard (and short) when you lack even the basic things we take for granted (clean water, electricity, refuse & sewage disposal, phone, emergency services, medical attention)
