A real Conservative would be a federalist and this question poses many deep thoughts and each and every vote and position his has taken will have to be examined.
And as it is early to go deep I will give it a shot in the dark of the morning light.

As a conservative one is for less Government and more state and local control or for Lib’s One can make his own decision with out the help of big brother i.e. Government.
Also when a true Conservative what less intrusion in our lives and now has to fight to retake what has been taken from us and the Communist left Democrats. Issues like abortion, security, freedom of speech, and many more!

Now what has been done in the past we have had to take up stances that are not core to what is true to our hearts in order to balance what is now unbalanced. And to some degree I would say he is a neo-con but in some others he is not and yet others he is a liberal.
I have not seen any one who is a true Conservative and more than I have seen a true Democrat as for many years even with the dived on many core issues they both where American and loved this land and both would lay their life down for it. And today the left is an extension of the Communist party who wants to see us fall.

So in conclusion no he is not one like Bush as Bush is not a neo-con and in some ways he is more of a RINO except on some Islam issues. And both have made their mistakes to be a true Conservative. And the name of NEO-CON is a label the left has put on us to try and silence our voice of opposition so they can complete the destruction of the greatest country in the history of man kind the USA.

What is so bad about being a realist? I don't support Freddie but I believe he is also a realist (ie, neocon).
