Older Women are more mature and responsible when compared to younger women.

They have the ability to get things done from the younger ones in the family.

They are often handed responsibility to get something done that involves youngsters because older women understand they syche of youngsters.

I guess it depends...on the guy...and his experiences...I would say many guys want a mature woman in the sense that they figure an older woman will be faithful...younger girls these days run around looking like sluts so the man has to wonder is she trying to attract someone else? Also, younger people tend to spend alot more if they don't have kids, an older woman may be more grounded. I am 35 and my husband just turned 31 today. He likes country and older rock and roll mostly. He likes some of the new stuff, but, not much of it. So, I am lucky w/ the music thing...=)

Dear missmebaby,
I know I'm not a guy, but just had answer this question.
I am 55, and my guy is 38. We have been together for 6 years and still going strong.
Men just want a happy, stable relationship with out the games and BS that goes with youth. They want a strong secure woman who knows what she wants, and no drama.
A woman who can take care of her home and family , that trusts them to do the right thing. If they want a night out with the guys it's no big deal. My guy loves who I am and the fact that I take care of myself and find time to spoil him and make him feel special. We don't have those young in love issues. We have a mature loving relationship with mutual respect and caring.
Hope this gives you some of the answers you seek.
God Bless

I'd like to know what they are thinking too. Maybe they are just being selfish because the chances of a women in her 40's wanting kids is lower then a women in her 20's. Maybe younger women have unrealistic expectations of what they want in a man. I'll be interested to find out what these young guys have to say.

Well my step dad is 28 and my mom is going to be 38 and then im 17 and my older sister is 19 and will be 20 in octobor. I dont know what it is but honestly i dont think when yoyu are with him you dont think about his age maybe hes more mature then some guys you have been with. The reason why i say this is cause my step dad is very mature in so many ways. Also with him he may be attracted to you cause maybe you dont look your age maybe you look younger then you are thats how my mom is so.... Also he may not wnat to be with immature girls and all that are younger than him. I dont think you say to yourself well im going to ask his age and then see how is personality is nope i dont think so you checkm out his personality and later you ask him. Atleast thats the way i ould do it. but yau thats what ithink. Age sdoesnt matter alot of times its just a number.

He is only about 10 years older than you. This is not a big age difference.

I think it's for a number of reasons. Some prefer women that know what they want, aren't into head games, are financially stable and are experienced sexually. Of course there are the odd few that are looking for a mother substitute ... but, they are generally the minority. :)

If you have kids almost as old as him that made you anywhere between 11 and say 15 when you had your first?

well.. its the maturity factor.. plus the "being mothered" instinct that makes them look for older women.. older women give them the stability which younger women can't.
