It depends on where your priorities are.
If you just really want money, stay with the job.
If you want to be happy, get the other.

My theory is that if I am working in a job that pays well, I must have some talents that are worth that salary.
So, if I am worth the salary I am being paid, I know that I will be able to find a different job someplace else that I will enjoy, while earning the same or more money.
If I know that I am being paid more than I am really worth, it might be worth the money to tolerate a job just for the cash. It would depend on how much I hated the job.
Some jobs are just not worth the extra income.
For instance, I would never be a stripper or a prostitute, even though I have heard that they make really good money. It wouldn't be worth selling my dignity and self respect by stooping to that level for money.
Your peace of mind is more important than money.
Are there enough opportunities in your field for you to find another job easily?
Would you consider taking some classes to either improve your skills, or learn something new that would help you to earn a larger salary?
What jobs are in high demand in your area?
Check out your options before you leave your present position. The next job you get might be worse.

First of, I think you should be grateful you even have a job because there are people out there who don't have that opportunity. Perhaps you should try to be more positive and the job wouldn't be such a drag.. just a suggestion. As for your main question, I think happiness comes before money so no, I wouldn't stay with a job I hate and I would most likely search for another one to switch to where I feel more comfortable and happy.

Well yes, I would always want a job that I would be happier at, but if the other job pays the bills I'd have to decide against it. That's why when you go to college you take a course in something you want to work in. As for if you're a teenager with a summer job, or a college student with a part-time job, just take a job that's going to pay the bills. It's always better to have a job that will keep you happy, but you can't always have one like that.

Likes and dislikes are just responses to our recorded attitudes and hardened by social conditioning. It would thereby imply that if I have learn t to dislike some thing then I can also learn to like it.At the same time, money is also very important to sustain in this world. The balancing of these two and fine tuning would suggest the course of action.Except in some rare cases,it is quite possible to like a job, which earns you the right kind of money.Just one more interesting point is that survey after survey has revealed that a majority of people are unhappy with their jobs either because of job itself or the renumeration[money],Yet,given a choice[hypothetical],hardly any body wants to change it .
What could be the real reasons?Hypocricy?

I would stay with the job that pays more even though I might hate it in order to give more to the ones I love.

Yes I would stay at a job I hated but pays well. There are so many jobs that I have hated and they have paid minimum wage or close to it.
With a well paying job you can at least build assets and perhaps be able to make your own job and one that you love.

As long as the job that made me happy and paid half still paid enough to cover the essentials, i'd take the happier job.

I was in a very, very well paying job and I truly hated it. It simply wasn't worth it for me. I am now making less, but soooo happy. I am sure there are some people who can stick it out, depends on your priorities I guess, but I couldn't.
