Our own USA children are being killed. That's like asking what about the rapist attacking your child. Just get your child to safety. They had a chance to act civilly...they chose not to.....protect your own children.

That's a little selfish, don't you think? We created this situation, and if we pull out, the whole freaking world will think we have absolutely no credibility and can do whatever they want because all they have to do is set a few explosives on the side of a road and we will run away.

WW3 will break out if we leave, then you will see a serious number of casualties.

While I feel for everyone who is suffering and has lost a loved one, or who is sacrificing themselves for the cause, the casualty rate is pretty low. One casualty is a high price to pay. Sometimes it is necessary. If you compare the casualty rate to other wars and the conditions they have to deal with, it shows just how good they are at the job. Also, they volunteered for the job. Nobody drafted them. Most of them want to be there to see it through. Give them a chance!

This is a very minor war with a very major price tag for the future.

why care?

why care!!

because we went TO THEM .. with our grand ideas of how WE (we being allied countries) would be recieved without taking into consideration ANY other possible outcomes ... .

they would throw rose petals at our feet and greet us with praise and never ending thankyou's

forget this jingoistic phrasing of OUR OWN USA CHILDREN... you are NOT the only nation there, you are NOT the only nation to have had servicemen and women killed...THE VERY BIG DIFFERENCE IS THOUGH between our *children* and the INNOCENT children in Iraq who are also being killed is that OUR children made the decision to serve in the armed forces ... and it was OUR Governments who made the decision to GO there ....

Don't come back with the incredulous " NO THEY CAME TO US ON SEPT 11th" because there was NO Iraqi connection to sept 11th.. But go ahead and believe what ever you want in order to justify the fact that you are NOT prepared to face the consequences and responsibility of our actions.....

Pull the troops out BY ALL MEANS ... BUT not without putting in place some means of peace keeping .. WE OWE the innocent Iraqis THAT much for NOT understanding and just expecting what we thought would happen

to pull out without that peace keeping force in place, would be morally and ethically corrupt

this was more to do with oil .. The increasing world wide demand for oil for all petroleum based products was what was the real reason behind the Iraq War.... GWB and cohorts are well aware of the need to have a means of control of oil supplies. ( think of china's growing economy) WE all use petroleum based products . .even the Computer you sat at to write your question is one such product ..

Iraq had nothing to do with terrorism ... Little to do really with the need for a regime change AND ALL ABOUT the oil..
Your USA GOVERNMENT is responsible for your USA Children being Killed... but you want to cut and run and allow other people's innocent children to be killed in a bloody civil conflict .. NICE!!

A child is to be protected because they can't think or decide what's best for them. That's why they have parents and legal guidence. However the people who enlist know that there is always a possiblity of war. They are 18 years of age and adult in the eyes of the law, able to make their own decisions.

Because I want those after me to live better off; not in a terminal decline. Because I want what is best for all Americans, not just the selfish concerned about their own children and nobody else.

There are many sides to this argument and the one that is most moral is that you stay until the job is done because you created the mess in the first place. That is highly commendable but from the evidence we have it looks as though that position means you will be there for decades. A tough choice will have to be made oneday. Good luck.

Why not?
When Iraq is all part of us.
The survival and advancement of all the little ones world-wide on planet earth is at high risk and high stakes in iraq.
Decode this lyrics " Who will save the world"
The success of Iraq is for all the little ones world-wide on planet earth.
Are we prepare to pay the price in letting all the little ones world-wide and let them go and be lost in space forever?
Look at the mess world-wide.
How living human kind pull out the plugs off their own little one, own children, own generation and living human kind in own backyards without being aware of the mess created in own back yards with iraq as a living examples out there.

I'd like to see some of our troops man the borders of Iraq, where they would not be dodging snipers, suicide bombers or road bombs. And, I'd like for some to do a serious search for those responsible for 9/11. We are still owed vengeance for that! I'd like for the rest of the troops to be sent home. I'd like to take the millions we are paying Halliburton and give to the Iraqis and let them hire their own people to work on repairs and upgrades. We have made a terrible mistake and a terrible mess. And, we should not be after their oil!

We are not children. We signed up. Do you pull the police from fighting the Mafia because it is dangerous? Do you Get your Fire fighters to Safety Or just give them the best tools and training and let them do the job?

To those who want to stay in Iraq because we started this - how about first removing from control those who got us in to this mess then letting someone who knows what they're doing get us out of it.

Because we would prove that we are dirtbags that the rest of the world suspects us of being by starting this mess in the first place.
