As a DB, speed and agility is everything.

Our DBs run steps and hills:
then, we do regular sprints of 15 yards on the field.
then we work back pedals.

I believe it's the steps work that does it.
Bleachers are better because you have to step a little higher and open your stride...but if all you have are regular steps...open it up to taking 2 steps at a time.

I hope that helps.

Faster by how much? There is an old coaching saying that you can't teach speed, you either have it or you don't. So if you are 17 or 18 your body has developed, all the drills in world may slightly increase your 40 time (like maybe by .2 of a second at best). If you currently run a 5.0 and want to get to a 4.5 forget it, it won't happen. If you are a 5.0 and want to get to a 4.9 or 4.85 then maybe you've got a shot.

hm... how bout putting weights on ur leg and try running as fast as u could ... it works well on me .

repeatedly doing it for 20sets of 100meter dash ... juz take ur time , theres no need to rush out and finish the 20 sets .

alright then juz try it with 3 kg weight at both ur feet and after than 5 kg on ur feet .. and last put together becom 8 kg so total will be 16 kg altogether . good luck

2 types of running exercises:

one - ever see those little parachutes with a bungee cord you strap around your waist? use that.

two - long rubber elastic bands - tie to one end and run aginst it.

Don't want to purchase anything? Go to the nearest stadium and start running up the bleachers.
