keep quiet or retort (explain) when people blamed you for nothing you have done?
And why? =p
I admit i am a shy person. I would rather keep quiet until people questioned me. But there are instances when i am irritated by the person and i kept quiet and ignored him. I thought: "You are so irritated. You are no body to me, why should i explain to you?"
If you are the person, how would you react and why?
Just curious =p

It is never healthy to keep irritable thoughts within. When this happens do not hesitate a resolution on the issue. Remain calm, look steadily in the persons eyes without a show of emotion in your own and simply say "Well I'm sorry that you believe that about me because it is not true...(pause) and continue with "though I do respect your right to your own opinion." Make sure you are smiling when you say this.....then calmly turn and walk away. Say absolutely nothing more. This works in most cases. Good luck.

I tend to keep quiet because I know that the person who's blaming is probably rather mad, and there's no explaining anything to someone when they're upset. I might bring it up later and explain my side of the story when I feel like they're content enough to listen.

Usually retort, unless I know there's no way I'm gonna win the argument in which case, I keep quiet and just stay out of the person's way.

Well i would much rather explain i am a shy guy too but if i didn't do it and they're blaming me the going to get a mouth full too. Its like if you don't tell them you are bottling it up inside so just let it all out if you didn't do anything that way you won't build up any steam.

Depends on what I am blamed for. If it would hurt my Integrity I would ask to go to a office and ask why that Person thinks that I did it and what's the prove. There would not be any Prove. Ergo, no Prove, no Blame.

What I would do if someone blamed me for something I haven't done...is, explain my case, the truth, then move on! I used to bicker w/my brothers endlessly when I was younger...Now, I save myself the stress, and forget about it!
In your case, you should put the truth of the matter out there...and then, IGNORE!! This bugs people more, when they know they can't get to you!

I'm very confrontational. Most people think that I am quiet but if I feel that I have been wronged in some way then I do not hesitate to tell people exactly what I am feeling. I also like to stick up for people that won't stick up for themselves.

i dont like being accused of things i didnt do. not that anybody does, but in my opinion being called a liar (especially when you're not lying) is the biggest insult. i would retort, unless they just aren't making any sense and it will just get me in to bigger trouble. like at work, or with my parents.

I too am shy but wouldn't ever let someone blame me for something I didn't do.
I would probably joke and try and make it all right - as I do with most things in life

Oh man, nothing riles me up more than accusations!
By nature, I am easy-going but if someone blames me for something that I did NOT do or say, I'll fight to the end to prove my innocence.
