Chelsea v Fulham on New year's day - I think it was 1975 - it was so cold I stuck to the terrace (this was in the days of the North Stand which is where the hotel is now) - George Best was playing for Fulham. There was crowd trouble (as there always was at Chelsea in the 70s) and most of the Shed end ended up on the pitch. I was so busy watching my back I missed most of the match and then got crushed in the tube on the way home after dodging being kicked by police horses who used to be deliberately backed into the crowd queuing to get into the station. Those were the days!

1978 Sheffield United v Wrexham I think it was Division 2. My grandad took me along he lived just off Bramell Lane and went to every game. It was good of him to take me along but I'm a Leeds fan so it wasn't quite as magical as it could have been! First Leeds game was in 1980 against Bristol City in Division 1. It was the best start you could hope for Eddie Gray scored after 28 seconds...then we lost 3-1.

I like this question.
As a child my dad took me to see Chelsea v FC Bruges.
I think it was the old Fairs cup, Chelsea won 4-0 AET it was 4-2 on aggregate and Peter Osgood scored two, it's one of my fondest memories. Thanks Dad
