when a number is to the power of a fraction it means the bottom number of the fraction is the root of your base numer to the power of the top number

so 8^1/3 is 3rd root of 8^1 so really what number to the power of 3 is 8 so 2 is your answer
27^1/3 is 3rd root of 27 is 3
so 2+3 is 5
5^3 is 125
so 125^1/4 is 4th root of 125
depends if the want it in decimal form or radical
decimal is 3.3437
radical is 4th sqrt of 125
