I have over 600 hours of community service and I'm a senior in high school. . .am I just wasting my time?

It seems like you just did your community work to look good on a resume. In this case, If you truly feel you are wasting your time, then do stop. If on the other hand you feel like you are contributing to your community and helping less fortunate individuals, then I would encourage you to keep doing it.

No you're not wasting your time. Colleges and Universities will see that you've completed 600+ hours of community service. It will certainly increase your chances of getting accepted.

If your only reason for doing community service is for college admissions, then yes, there is a limit to how much it will help you. If, however, you actually care about your community, then there is nothing wrong with it.

600+ hours, wow! I have a little under 100 hours. Well, volunteering makes you look better with universities.
