Well, the salad I make is better. But other stuff, like Pigs in a Blanket, or Nuggets, anything... Why does it taste better from a restaurant? Pizza is the bets example. Store bought pizza is extremely nasty and CiCi's pizza tastes so much better. Why?

I definitely know what you mean...I felt that way for a long time. I think it is because they use more fat/sugar/salt than we use at home, so we think it tastes better. Our tastebuds have been trained to like it that way. I made a commitment to really learn how to cook and have experimented a lot. Now, I am to the point where going out to eat is always disappointing because usually (unless it's pizza or popcorn) I can do better. You can do the same! Buy a really basic cookbook like The Joy of Cooking...or try out a Gooseberry Patch cookbook...everything I ever try out of there is easy and delicious.

You're missing the bigger picture here: You can eat at the restaurant at ANY TIME. This isn't a matter of abuse - it's a matter of control. Sorry - but you don't get to control this situation. There's food to be had, you're just refusing to eat it. You don't like the food there? Go into the kitchen and ask the chef to make you something special. Chefs love to do that. You're a vegetarian? Ask him for the best salad (without meat) or roasted veggies ever. He'll do it if he's got any balls at all. If he won't because he's actually a bad chef, or can't actually cook, then YOU go into the kitchen at the restaurant and YOU make yourself food from there. There's TONS of food there - all your have to do is go there and make some for yourself. If your parents don't like that you're making custom food for yourself and tell you to stop, that's the point where you can throw a fit about there being no food in the house. But until then, you've got a whole restaurant full of non-meat items for you to chow down on!

Well, I can tell you that White Kastle "sliders" are nasty at the restaurant, but they are really good if you get the box at the store and warm them yourself at home!!! I even know several people who have gotten food poisoning from eating there!

1st if you think CiCi's pizza is good you have issues.

2nd is becuase when things are mass produced and filled with preservatives they tend to lose quality. they also use lesser quality ingredients.

you not a hard thing to figure out if you just think about it.

the store-bought foods are nasty because they dont consider the customer's needs. while the food that we are buying in the restaurants are delicious and mouth watering because it is organized and the staff are considering the customer's choice of food, the taste, and would it be more like by the customer

learn how to REALLY cook. Find a really easy way of cooking, for example, Taste of Home.
