I just bought an expensive dishwasher and it will be delivered tomorrow, however, my friends are now telling me it will cost alot of money to get a plumber to set it up. I was expecting I would be able to do it myself. Doesnt it just set up the same a a washing machine??? I dont have much room and I was going to put it in my laundry. Its a stand alone one. Can some one please tell me how it will need to be set up. Thanks.

no it doesn't set up like a washing machine, you better get a plumber.you need to supply water to it and a drain. It should be in close proximity to your kitchen sink so you can get easy access to water and drainage

Sure you can hook it up yourself. You will need a "Y" Connector attached to the top of your present drain pipe. That way you can use the same drain as your Washing Machine uses. You will also need a hot water conection and electrical plug in. I hope you handy with tools. If you don't get it right you will flood the room.

Usually the delivery people set it up. Call and ask before they come out. It would be worth additional cost to have them connect it.
