I agree with the jordan comment, people have got to judge kobe for kobe. With that said I've got to say the changes that they've made so far haven't done much in terms of becoming a real contender. Getting a veteran point guard like fisher will improve the offense allowing kobe and the others to get better looks. However there front court is still pretty weak. With few points in the paint by mihm and brown and not nearly enough rebounds, as well a very limited bench, I've got to say they get a record of 43-39 and end up making the 8th seed before being ousted in 6 to the suns or mavs.

Baller, I'm neither a fan nor a hater. Yeah, lots of guys around the league said that it is very unfortunate that Kobe is being compared to Michael Jordan. Kobe should be Kobe. But people can't help comparing them since they play very similar (Both are outstanding scorers and both play SG). So there. With regards to your other question whether they'll gonna make it to the play-offs next year, yes i do. They just need to stay focused. Just hope this team would be better than their first round finish. (Except for Fish I don't think the Lakers upgraded at all. So hope that Bynum improves or Mihm stays out of injury for them to get over the first-round hump if not we would have the same scenario again.)

I still think the Lakers will trade for Jermaine Oneal's and give up Bynum and like 2 first round pick, probably K-Browns will be in the trade to. And if that happen the lakers will have a starting five consist of Kobe, Odom, D-Fish, Oneal's, and Walton. Anyway enough of the trade, i still think we are gonna be better than last year and get 50 wins. No matter if they don't trade for Oneal's or not. GO LAKERS!

hmmm

a couple of teams got better in the offseason in the west man

portland, seattle

and you know new orleans and clippers are gonna make a run

its gonna be tough but im gonna with lakers wining 45 games and losing 37....good enough for 7th or 8th in the west

i have to be realistic and this team looks good on paper and will perform well enough to make the playoffs...you know kobe will push them to the playoffs but what happens then?

they don't have the right tools or star players or talent to surround kobe with who can win in the playoffs....they can win big games in the regular seaon but can they win big games in the playoffs in a 7 game series?

iono man

hopfeully luke and lamar will play the season out and be healthy throughout and hopfully vlad rad turns into a scorer and some kind of force...we owe him about 6 million a year and bynum gets going and starts racking up double doubles

oorrrr if we can get someone before the trading deadline in midseason which can turn things around and make the lakers a legit force in the west and can't be taken lightly in the playoffs

The Lakers will make the playoffs next year, but only as a 6-8th seed with a 1st round exit with the current roster.

i think injurys r the only thing that could hold them back from the playoffs but they will be in the late rounds kobe also needs to continue doing what hes doing but needs to be a distributor to get past the first round of the playoffs

btw lakers gm sucks

because there are a lot of stronger teams now, we can't really tell but i know kobe would try his best to be in the playoffs again. he did it 2 times and i think he can't afford to lose now in the 1st round. let's just keep our hopes high!

Nope the West is too good for the kobe to win games by himself what s what he'll have to do until the lakers get him a sidekick
