LOVE IT! LOVE IT! LOVE IT! I teach 4th grade and every year I show this movie to my kids as a way to talk about the holocaust and how we must learn from our past so we don't keep making the same mistakes.
At first you should see their faces when I tell them what year it was filmed in .. they groan because they are all so used to these fancy, computer enhanced action movies. By the end of the film they are entranced and are so excited to talk about it. The best part is when I hear some of them singing the songs days later! lol
Some of them come back to visit me a couple of years later and they still bring this up as one of their favorite movies ever. I will continue to show it every year because of how much it affects them and makes them think.
Oh and thanks by the way ... now I'll be singing Edelweiss for the rest of the night!! LOL =)
