i wouldn't say that is true. It might actually be easier to "love" someone who is far away because you don't have the daily commitment that it takes to maintain a real relationship.
when you are in their face daily then it really tests how you work together, deal with all thos little things. It's easy to figure out that you want kids one day or that you are a certain religion of thos etypes of things. But does his leaving a dirty sink bug the crap out of you? Or does you leaving your underwear on the floor set him off?
not saying it can't happen, has an equal chance of going either way I guess, people are people. If love can overcome distance then those of us who are under each others feet should be freaking thrilled!

I have to disagree with everyone that says no long distance relationships don't or cant work. My husband and I (before we were married) we separated for 2 years. We are now happily married and been together for 9 great years. He lived in Utah and I lived in Lake Tahoe and we made it work. Its up to the couple to want to make it work. If its meant to be it will be.

It's been true in my situation...
My boyfriend lives about 7 states away from me, but we've been dating for 2 years. He comes here whenever he can; probably once or twice every two months. Now, mind you, that's not very often, but it's as often as possible. And we talk on the phone or online every day... I don't know how I will work for you, but maybe that could give you some sort of idea?

Love is complex, there are a couple variables to consider, how long will you be apart? and most important how strong is the emotional attachment ? because a love that can never again be consummated with physical support will dwindle to a platonic love... and neither would be happy, and if you want that for the other then your love isn't true... because you would want the other to have the total love package... if you truly loved your love...

I really don't mean this to sound offensive, but I want to include that saying in my collection of the stupidest lines people say. I want to put it at number two.

it really depends on circumstances and strenght from both parties..... as well as time..... someone will probably love you for ever but after a while, they might move on with their lives.
