Nigerian con men are stealing millions of dollars every year from American Banks. Countless Americans including me have fallen victim to these con men every year. I contacted the FBI but they could do nothing because it is outside of the country.

How do you know this they are very good con men they can fake e-mail to say it is coming from another country. For example I trace messages from all over the world. but they are still NIgerian con men. Never trust a Nigerian never. I report every e-mail I get to spam. Microsoft hotmail support tells me that the headers were spoofed meaning that the orgin can not be told due to this fact. I am not talking about e-mails wanting to share milliions of dollars with you. there are worse ones out there....as to the one comment they let him think that is how they live........

The FBI is correct. They are outside the jurisdiction of the United States. So it seems that they will continue ripping off rich Americans who are way beyond stupid.
I mean let's be serious here. Someone receives an email from a total stranger in another country and is told to send $20,000 so the stranger can unfreeze his deceased father's bank account. In exchange for the favor, the stranger will send you one million dollars.
Gee, a person would have to be a total moron or possibly even legally brain dead to believe that one.
Oh by the way, I have a great investment opportunity that I'm sure you will find interesting. It is for a new housing development being built on some ocean-front property in Kansas. I inherited the land from my uncle who is a space alien from Jupiter. Just tell me your bank account number and I will take only the amount of money that we agree upon. I promise!

that site is right on the money. you waste their time and resources. Think about it, if they received replies to all their mass emailings, they wouldnt have time to scam.
this is very similar on how you deal with spammers sites. when you get spammed by these sites, go to them and minimize the window. the more people they have on their sites, the more bandwidth is used, and hosting servers charge them for bandwidth use. eventually, if everyone goes to their sites, they wont be able to afford to keep the site up.
or better yet, find yourself a good bandwidth bomber. it simply opens a window that clicks links and fills out forms automatically on the spammers sites. look around frost wire for 'refi retaliator'.

Evidently, in England there is a website for scamming the scammers.
I feel badly for the people who lost money to these "419 scams," but apparently the scammers are not very bright.
You're gonna love this: http://www.419eater.com/
I might mention that some of these people are dangerous - I'm not suggesting you try this yourself.

Spread the word that it is a fraud and forward the emails to the SEC or FBI.

Actually, most of them are not in Nigeria any more -- that's just how it started many years ago.
And no, there is nothing really that can be done because it's impossible to find the criminals.
