If it's too cold, the decomposers will be rendered rather immobile and decomposition will thus be slowed.
If it's warm, decomposers are more active and decomposition occurs more quickly.
But if it gets too hot, the decomposers may be killed off and the decomposition slowed.

As with all living cells, moisture and oxygen is required for the organism to do its job.

As long as there's alittle moisture available, -the warmer it is, the faster things decompose. -Otherwise they'd just dry out, get brittle, & wait to catch fire- like they do here in the Desert! :)
