Most of you know that I deliver pizza's while finishing up college... well tonight while I was on my way to dropping off pizza's I noticed a person run out of a car infront of me a few cars up at a red light.

It was a woman and she was crying frantically and running from the car. Then the car she ran from turned around and cut her off... A guy got out and ran towards her then tackled her to the ground.

That's when I jumped out of my car and yelled, "Hey YOU, Stop THAT!"... the guy picked her up off the ground and dragged her to his car.

I then threw my car in reverse and made my way to him as quick as possible. I then shot out of my car running to his... at this time he was forcing her into his car while she was screaming and crying and kicking her legs while throwing her arms around.

I grabbed the guy by his neck and threw him to the back side of his car. While doing this she was able to get out of his car and run. He turned around and I dug my feet into the ground ready

ready to attack him... he then froze up and started making his way to me... I then said, "if you come towards me I'LL BREAK YOU!!!" he stopped... and I said, "what the hell are you doing? It's a woman you don't do that!" he then apologized and I said, "don't apologize to me, apologize to her when you sober up"... at this time someone was calling the cops....

What would you have done?

Way to GO cowboy! I would have done the exact same thing ~ even as a woman. It may be the four years of martial arts ... I'm not sure ... but I was raised to be strong and I come from a police and military family (Semper Fi!) so there is no way I could have NOT reacted the same way. He may have been able to take me, but he it wouldn't have stopped me from trying. Besides kickin' him on the balls if he was drunk ... well ... that woulda worked! lol

Good for you Dan! You made my heart smile when I read this. As a Marine you know you are obligated to help her ... but as a person you had the guts and that speaks TONS about your character. I wish we had more men in the world who put others before themselves more often ... there are so many finger pointing chicken sh*ts in the world today ... bless you for being brave enough to do the right thing ... and to save the dignity of a woman you didn't even know. Your kind act will come back to you ~ twofold!!

Wow, absolute kudos to you for doing what you did. I don't know many people at all who would be brave enough to take a stand against such a situation! Most people just gawk from their cars or beep a horn and drive away.

Being a tiny woman (5'0 and 90 lbs, lol) I can't say I'd have done what you did, but I genuinely hope there are more people out there who would do the same in your position. More likely than not, I'd be the woman frantically dialing 911 in her car.

I think you did a brave thing! You did a good deed, I don't know what I would have done because I've never been in that type of a situation so obviously you had to act fast but I am the type of person who want to help people and I'm guessing you are the same way. Good job

Thank you!!! On behalf of women everywhere, thanks.

Things like that make me so mad, I'd probably go after him, too - the only difference is, then he would have TWO women to beat up on, then where would our brave Marine pizza guy be!!!

The other thing that makes me see red is when someone is hurting a child... that's just not going to happen around me.

I think you did the right thing. I, on the other hand, being a weak, wimpy, defenseless women probably wouldn't confronted the guy but I would definately called the cops. I think it might have been all a misunderstanding based on what the guy said. He might have been trying to help her get home.

Wow, I have to congratulate you...Many people wouldn't be brave enough to do what you did. I think If I saw any female being abused in any way, I'd try to help, but I'd be very wary of who the guy was...I'd make sure I had a weapon or something just in case.

Exactly what you had done -- very good job Dan -- congratulations! It's nice to see there are still more good young people in this world standing up for what is right!

Thank you for 'rescuing' this woman. It may have been 'domestic violence' or she may have been 'kidnapped' ... either way, you did a very good thing. I wish more people were like you ...
I'm a woman and I'd do the same thing you did ... but my husband would be 'right beside me' ... we BOTH hate 'violence' when it's 'real' and we can help. THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU.

I would hope exactly as you did and for that you should get a nice recognition by your mayor. That was very brave and noble of you and you probably saved that womans life.
