First you must write 15x^2 - 7x -2 as a polynomial with 4 terms
so split the middle term 7x into two and write it as a sum
15x^2 -8x +x -2
now you can factor by regrouping
(15x^2-8x) +(x-2)
now factor
x(15x-8)+ 1(x-2) = 0

15x^2 - 7x -2
= 15x^2 - 10x + 3x - 2
= 5x(3x-2) + (3x - 2)
= (5x+1)(3x-2)
----------
How to split the middle term?
Ideas: Factor 15(-2)x^2, the product of the leading term and the constant term, into -10x and 3x such that -10x + 3x = -7x, the linear term.

(5x + 1)(3x - 2)
Check
5x(3x - 2) + 1 (3x - 2)
15x² - 10x + 3x - 2
15x² - 7x - 2 (as required)

c'mon. It's one thing to ask for how to approach a problem; another to ask for someone to just solve it for you.
