because on your thighs your hair is ultra fine, and if you shave there, it will treat you with ingrown hairs.

Your thighs don't have as much hair as the rest of your legs. Also, your thigh hair isn't as dark as the rest of your hair on your legs. People say you shouldn't shave because when you shave your hair will get dark and thicker.

I haven't heard that. I shave mine, and the hair there is still fine, it never got dark and thicker like the urban legends say. You don't have to shave it as often as your lower legs, because the hair is so fine.

I've always shaved all the way up....( I grew up in the 60's/70's...mini skirts and hot pants were the rage...you didn't DARE not shave all the way up...) theres nothing wrong with it...

well I woulden't say it is a bad thing to do but, if you don't have alot of hair there and it isn't visible don't shave it there's no need to it will just make it grow back 2 times worse and if you don't show your legs alot ,but if its all long and dark then you should.

They say that bc it will grow back thicker, but i still do, bc it never really does grow back thicker for me!! And it think it looks ridiculous with nice clean hairless legs, and then you see these gross disgusting covered with hair thighs!! Its NASTY!!! So i shave them, it might grow back thicker for you! But id take that chance rather then have hairy thighs!!!

Never heard of it, and I don't shave them.
No hair there anyways, so why would I do it.
I do just past the knee cap.

i wasn't aware that anyone said this. you shave only the body parts of your choosing -it is no one's business how you maintain your personal body areas.

If they're hairy and scary I don't see why not. I haven't known girls that needed to though.
