You will most likely be unable to find anyone willing to rent a house or apartment to you while you are under 18. You can not sign a legally binding agreement until you are 18 and therefore, most places will not rent to a minor without any type of co-signer. Best of luck to you.

Under 18 and having the responsibility of renting may not be a good situation for you or for any landlord.
No matter how mature or responsible you think you are, in the eyes of the law, you are a child.
IF, at your age, you called our office about a rental, I would definitely want you to have at least one co-signer of legal age to sign our lease.
You are in a very difficult position. Is there a friend or relative you could move-in with until you are of legal age? When you do this, its also your responsibility to pay rent or pay room and board.
In other words, you're going to have to get a job - on weekday evenings and/or on weekends and over holiday breaks.
Unfortunately I don't have a better answer for you.
I DON’T want to see you go to a boarding house. Generally speaking, those places don’t have very good reputations.
I wish you well!
VTY,
Ron B.

okay, I'm 17 and I moved out. Really the only way to do it is to get emancipated. You can do that through the court or by having a baby. not that i did that. I just kinda moved out. I got in a fight with my parents moved out and refused to come back. 9 times out of 10 ur parents won't call the cops, but if they do anything illegal(my parents smoke pot) threaten them with it eventually they will get over it. And you can't rent anythingon ur own til ur 18! hope that helps!

You cannot legally sign a lease but there are places that rent without them. Your parents can probably legally drag you home by calling the police. If you want to move out, try college. It will take you a lot further in life and they have dorms.

in case you prefer to break a lot of regulation... in all risk. you want a passport, yet you could word for one once you're sixteen assuming you could acquire your start certificates. you may then could desire to forge a letter of permission out of your mothers and fathers. Then bluff your way around the border. Then shop away from the police who may be able to be searching for you interior the U. S. (understanding which you crossed based on your passport test). attempting to pass the border without dealing with any border assessments is conceivable, yet no longer likely for you. maximum crossings are patrolled, or so distant that its annoying to plot on crossing. In maximum factors you would be picked up by using police or locals thinking what you're doing dozen of miles removed from any city and not using a automobile. and of direction money is a topic. you could no longer pay for something with Canadian money. you could no longer use a economic employer gadget interior the U. S. -- without the police understanding (and assuming they do no longer at present cancel your enjoying cards). and you will be able to't get super quantities persons income Canada. you could no longer paintings interior the U. S. different than rather unlawful under-the-table jobs -- which maximum folk do no longer be responsive to the place to discover and are not person-friendly interior the north. There are few and lots between, subject you to important explotation, and don't pay sufficient to stay off of. the place are you going to stay? the place do you think of you will purchase pretend identity? Ask around street corners in Detroit? Why could a criminal supply help to out while they are able to basically destroy your face in and take your money?

**UNLESS you are R being mentally or physically abused-you need to stay put. YOU CAN'T afford to live on your own! I barely can! I'm 40! I have alot of experience, jobwise and other. If you are being abused-you call the authorities....then you may get some help. If it is just that you wanna party all nite-be w/your friends-I suggest you stay at home-YOU CANNOT make it on your own. Sorry----but again-if abuse is involved-report it. They abuser can't do anything to you:murder, etc. ABUSERS ARE COWARDS. I know-I was abused.,beaten, and when I told - amazingly, not only did I not get killed-noone else did.either

considering you cant spell "like," "requirements," or get "sixteen and a half years old" gramatically correct-
i would advise that you NOT move out.
and, you can sign a lease anyway. your not a legal adult. your parents would have to cosign.
