I have a 2001 pontiac grand am. The backlight on the clock and station display is only light on one side. How can you replace the light?

You can't fix this. You will have to either remove the whole radio and send it to an authorized shop or get a new unit.

The backlights are soldered and are not designed to be serviced. You can pull the radio apart and solder in new bulbs, radio shack has the parts. I did this once...its a hassle but can be done.

Greaser's right.Just take the cover off the radio & you'll see the little bulb. But I like fix'in my own crap & thought it was EZ.You don't have'ta solder'em.You can use a crimp type connector.
