If you shake your leg while you're sitting, it is normally a sign that you like the person you are sitting next to and you are nervous. If you look at your watch at 9:11 it means it's eleven minute after nine. am or pm.

I think the whole 9:11 is too new to really call a superstition, & no I don't think looking at the clock at any particular time is bad luck. There are a limited number of number combinations on the clock & think about how often you look at a clock.... statistically you are GOING to see random patterns in the numbers & if they were bad luck anyone who owned a clock would be doomed. As far as the leg thing, I think it just means you are nervous. If you are nervous because you have a lot of bad luck then I guess you could say the leg twitching is a result of bad luck, not a sign that you are going to have more.

Doubt it and no- shaking your leg is stress release, usually a release from anxiety or stress. Not bad luck, if that was the case, I would have bad luck all of the time. As would my daughter.
9:11, I seldom ever look at the clock at that time to notice but I would guess if you shake your leg at 9:11 and look at your watch at the same time you might have bad luck, never tried the 2 together.
PS: ROFLMAO!! I loved Dominus' response!! A depends moment here!!

No they are not bad luck. I shake my legs sometimes while sitting and I've occasionally checked the watch/clock at 9:11 and I havn't had anything terrible happen to me. So I'd say both are fine. unless you put too much on superstition and by believing they are bad luck they give you bad luck. But for me they are not

that is absurd. I shake my legs all teh time and it is call restless leg syndrome and as for looking at the time and it just so happens otbe 9:11 a/pm, take a moment (1 sec) and say a small prayer or blessing or simply achkowledge the time for what happend on the date 9/11 and move on.

Shaking your legs while sitting is not a superstition. It is a nervous trait, or a nuerelogical disease, but nothing more. There is no folk lore or superstitions covering 9:11.

1) Only if you shake them over your head. You're likely to sprain them or fall out of your chair then.
2) No! it's good luck! But 7:11 is a good time to go to the convenience store and get more coffee.
