A girl at camp said that today, I flipped at her and stopped talking to her.
If someone doesn't listen to them thats fine but if they judge them on one song and compare them to the Backstreet Boys then their obviously not worth talking too.

it wont change my opinion on the group. if i like something, just b/c someone esle doesnt, that wont make me like them less...

It's jus her opinion. She's probably too young to understand what an influence they were and probably doesn't care.
I get people telling me that boy groups like 98 Degrees and Backstreet Boys are terrible groups and they don't understand how I like them. I just respond with, "The same way you can stick that disgusting cancer stick in your mouth day after day and smoke it, while doing the same for me would make me gag."
People's tastes differ. I expect others to respect my tastes as I respect their even if I don't like their taste.
While I do find The Beatle's music revolutionary, there were too many things about them I didn't like. They had no class, were basically a cluster of slobs, dressed terribly, imbibed in drugs and didn't contribute to the community. I never bought any of their records. I'd much rather listen to Diana Ross, Backstreet Boys, 98 Degrees and other groups with some class.
Not talking to her because she doesn't like The Beatles is kind of silly. There are way more important things in life to argue about. How old are you? ( I welcome email) Besides the Backstreet "Boy Whores" are way more fun to look at than The Beatles could ever dream of.

Not at all, I just remain in silence trying to understand what makes that person think that way.
The Beatles music will last forever no matter what.
I'm not saying all are great songs, but most of them are.
I always find one that sounds new to me.
There is no way you can compare The Beatles with any other group, present or past, no way.

It doesn't change my mind about a person. Everyone is entitled to have their opinion. It may be a wrong opinion, but it's ok. It will give us something to argue about to keep the friendship from fading into total dullness. Sometime people can't see the greatness of a particular group or band until they are tied to a chair and forced to listen to it for hours on end.

Backstreet boys? wow thats just so unbelievable wat a freak.......well in my opinion the Beatles are great they planted so many like gauntlets that even bands today have still not achieved. the beatles...one could say they started it all, without the beatles there would be no damn backstreet boys or any awesome bands today
