it is not how they make napalm.

Don't try boiling gasoline unless you have an appropriate distilation aparatus, or you will have a fire and potentially and explosion. Yes it will boil. Yes in an open container you are likely to have a flash fire BEFORE you see it boil.

Gasoline is a very low boiling fraction of crude oil. The higher boiling fractions are used as asphalt, diesel fuel, and jet fuel and have higher energy content. The purification scheme for crude oil utilizes boiling of these liquids and differential volatility to separate out the various useful fractions. Gasoline boils in the 45 - 65 ºC range.

These distillation separations are done in INERT atmospheres (nitrogen purge) with proper grounding and pressure design.

Remember the fire triangle: fuel + oxygen + ignition = BOOM

Gasoline is VERY dangerous.

Sure. Almost every liquid can boil.

Depending on the brand and the octane of gasoline you buy, you're talking about dozens, or more likely hundreds, of different chemical mixtures. What's more, each one of those mixtures will have probably 9 or 10 different chemicals, each of which will behave differently.

Consequently, the boiling point ranges from 100F to 400F, more or less.

If you want to plug in a hotplate and stick a beaker of gasoline on it, to see at what temperature bubbles first form, I recommend doing it in a VERY remote location, and observing with high-power optics.

That's basically what they do when they refine petroleum into gasoline or other products. They heat the oil, and run the vapors through a distillation process. That said, I wouldn't heat gasoline in the typical chemistry lab environment. The test tubes and other glassware would explode. It's not the appropriate equipment.
