How long do men usually last on average? And what can be done to make a man last longer?
P.S. We do not use condoms (I am on Birth Control) and condoms are generally out of the question.
Serious answers only please.

For the record...he is not just some man that I occasionally hook up with....he is my husband.

Ok, forget the whole condom thing. We actually will be starting a family soon but until then, my birth control has work for us for year now so I do not see why if would fail me now.

There will be lots of people who lie about how long sex lasts to make themselves look like better lovers (this was actually the basis of research done in France in the 90's) but if you actually go by the real research data the average length for sexual intercourse for a male (from the time of penetration to ejaculation) is under 5 minutes.
Statistically, there are outliers that reach periods of 4 hours or so, but those are on a kind of "bell curve" so they become increasingly more infrequent.
Try looking up the book "Expanded Orgasm" for better information on how to improve this for males and females.

I've been with a guy who couldn't last more than 2 minutes max, and nothing worked to make him last.. maturbation first, c*ck ring, alcohol, stop and go.. it was in and out with him and I never got anything out of it. The guy I'm with now lasts about an hour on average and I often have a hard time bringing him to orgasm because I get completely worn out within 20-30 minutes and sometimes just can't finish the job.. and with him, nothing makes him climax faster. So I think it just depends on the guy.. you might try putting some sort of desensitizing product on him, though, and see if that helps.

I've read that the average male last only 4-6 minutes. I thought it would be a lot higher but i guess not. To help you partner last longer I would recomend Kegel exercises. These exercised are targeted on strengthening your PC muscle with controls ejaculations. Women do Kegels also after child birth, but they can be effective for men also.

Well I will be perfectly honest I usually don't last very long at all. I have to agree with the less than 5 minute guy, I believe most people lie and say that they go for longer than they actually do to make themselves look like better lovers. 99 times out of 100 I pleasure my wife first to make sure she gets satisfied and then we take care of my needs, because I am the easy one.

Condoms should never be out of the question unless you are actively seeking to start a family and are fully 100% sure that both of you are being true. Heck I've been married 20 yrs and we still use them sometimes. But all that said, have him use a c**k ring. It will help a lot.

On average, somewhere in the six minute range. Here's a study:
http://www.blackwell-synergy.com/doi/abs/10.1111/j.1743-6109.2005.00070.x
Guys just last shorter than women. He can either go slower or gentler to last longer. There's also the stop and go method, where you go until you almost reach climax, but then rest, then continue. And lastly, he can masturbate 15 to 45 minutes (or anytime before) having sex, and that should help him last longer, because once you reach climax once, it takes longer to reach climax the second time if after a short amount of time.

Every man is different. How long an erection lasts for a man is both physical and psychological and behind this is stimulation, desire and frame of mind.
Also, I disagree with the alcohol thing. That is totally untrue. Alcohol actually diminishes a man's ability to achieve or maintain an erection.

The only way a man can last longer is practice. Another way is alcohol. I used to be like your man, did not last more than two minutes, now I am somewhere between 45 minutes to an hour. Sometimes when I am drunk, I can go over an hour.

Ok if u want him to last longer he has to learn to control...
If he too excited.. let him slow down & cool off & then u can start again...
But longer doesnt always mean better...
What i mean is u can have a short sex & a massive mind blowing orgasm...Its how much excited u both are that counts in the end...
