My husband the master automotive service technician says, "No." The proper tools to use are either an air hammer, tire iron, or a lugnut wrench.

A hammer drill acts like a hammer and therefor does not apply the torque force you need. This calls for an impact driver either air or electric. Or you could do the manual way using a lug wrench or the correct 1/2 in drive 8 point socket and a extension handle plus a little muscle.

No, even corded 120 volts ac, 1/2" chuck drills don't have enough torque or RPM to remove lug nuts..

You need an impact wrench, about 200 ft lbs min torque rating on wrench.

Or the old tried and true way... A lug wrench and your strenght turning it.

Don't do that, if the nut is seized just put some gloves on and use a lug wrench to break the nuts loose by hand.
