The need for communication in a relationship...and the realization that the lack of communication is what destoryed a recent relationship.

We didn't talk
We sat, parallel
Not together
We didn't share
We would stare
at that box

We didn't see
We looked mindlessly
We lay, parallel
Not together
We turned away
And doused the light
unconcious

Once, we talked
Once, we sat
together
Once we touched
Once we smiled
and cried
together--
not anymore.

But why are you pushing me away?

One day, it's me
Then it's that girl down the street
What am I? A piece of meat?
You never say my name when you say you love me...

Do really think it's real?

You're right, I'm wrong
That's how it's been for so long
Because you never said my name when you said you loved me too...

I wanted to tell you something,
but you turned away.
I thought I had finally connected
but then you stopped me.

Were you afraid?
I was scared.
You coward.
I should tell him.

Then, he left.
"No more," he said.
Theres a lesson here, I know it.
My chance has left me.
