...to cheer me up tonight?

I have a lot of major, stressful things happening right now. There is no exaggeration when I say I feel as if I am in my own "Nightmare of Elm Street" in a sense and yet I pinch myself and realize I am awake...bummer! : (

I am nearly 1,000 miles away from "home", hate hate, hate where I am living now but need to sell my house. Need I say more? Well, I will...

My financial future is riding on something that hasn't materialized yet, I am facing a birthday in 3 weeks (at my age that is nothing to celebrate), my neighbors on one side I think were released from a mental institution before they moved here (no joking, they are really out there) and I think my poor cat has had it with the unfriendly neighborhood bullies (for that matter, so have I).

If you've ever felt totally alone and insignificant in the world, that is exactly how I am feeling tonight.

Please, cheer me up. I try to help people on this site all the time and now it is my turn.

It sounds like you need some me time! The best stress buster is having fun in your own way. Let loose a couple times a day...dance in your undies, make your favorite most fattening and sugary dessert, sing in the shower, whatever it takes to lighten your spirits. Also, as the saying goes, laughter is the best medicine...try watching your favorite comedy or look through old goofy pics of people from your "home" and laugh your head off. Maybe you're the artistic type...you could write a song or poem to help you cope with your problems, or grab a paintbrush and slather your emotions on a blank canvas. When you come home from a long day ready to give up on the world, simple things like a candle lit bubble bath can do wonders. Most importantly, tell yourself, and believe, that you are a very important part of the world and remind yourself that you're not really as alone as you feel. No this won't fix your microwave or get you new neighbors, but c'mon, you gotta admit dancing in your undies sounds pretty fun... Hope this helps :-)

Cheer up the grass is always greener in the winter, anyway, what is the state, city, and price of your house for sale? Is it listed? I am sure when you sell it you will be as happy as a beetle on a bay leef.

everything will be fine.
keep your cat inside. (haha)

LISTEN TO ME CAREFULLY:
-go into your kitchen
-get a microwave safe bowl
-put chocolate chips and creamy peanut butter into it
-put it in the microwave on high for 30 seconds.
-stir

it is DELICIOUS.
hopefully, itll make your problems seem to disappear. :)

we all have these types of days, sometimes weeks, or even years.
but do your best to keep your chin up and be shown as a confident person.
if you have time, you could watch a comedy if you need to feel better.
i hope you feel better soon.

John 3:16: For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,[a] that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Romans 8:28: And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,[a] who[b] have been called according to his purpose.

The Lord's Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory. for ever and ever.

Amen

Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;

A time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to break down, and a time to build up;

A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

A time to throw away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

A time to seek, and a time to lose;
a time to keep, and a time to throw away;

A time to tear, and a time to sew;
a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

A time to love, and a time to hate;
a time for war, and a time for peace.

1 Corinthians 13:1: If I speak in the tongues[a] of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames,[b] but have not love, I gain nothing.
4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. 11When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. 12Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
13And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

John 11:35: Jesus wept.
