I wise man once told me that: it was OK to rock the boat - but be careful not to tip the boat over. "To far" would be when the boat goes over. When the waves start to get to big for the boat you are in, find a bigger boat and make bigger waves.
There are organizations that can be joined and/or started where you can convince others of your side, especially with the Internet.
Just this type of forum you should be able to identify some of the members who think like yourself with their answers.
It may be a slow process but by rocking the boat, you start to make waves and if the waves get to high, you may try a bigger boat.
Also a good tactic is humor. Many a truth is said with jest. If your joke doesn't go over as well as you thought, you might try a different audience.
I went to a reunion at a Boy Scout Camp last Saturday and met a friend of mine from when we both worked at the camp in the early 1960s. It was the Camps 80th Anniversary and 1st reunion. He was disabled from working at Ground Zero. I tried telling him that there were some of us who were trying to get the truth out but he didn't want to discuss it.
I wish I could get him to listen to the following 4 min music video.

Well Jefferson always said that the people have the right to make a revolution if the leaders betray the constitution, but I don't think you can specifically threaten the life of an official

You can state "this government has to go" or "anarchy is the proper order of things." You can not state "Government official x must die" or "here is how to make bombs. Use violence to overthrow the social order." Does that help?

The line is pretty simple -- You cannot advocate the use of illegal violence to overthrow the govt.
You can suggest any lawful means, or any non-violent means. But you can only advocate violence for self-defense, not for an offensive attack.

If you incite violence or commit slander/libel, it's illegal. People don't go to jail too often for these things, but it does happen.

In the U.S. you can take it pretty far. In some countries, be careful.
