I am a white Christian male nad i don't get any special treatment. The John Doe act was nearly removed because of muslim's. And atheisist and other's don't like In God we trust. This country was founded on Christian values. Freedom is spoken of in the Bible. Same sex marriage is wrong to. In the Bible homosexuality is a Sin not to be spoken of. I really want to hear what you think.

I am sick of hearing about building prayer rooms for the Muslims. Since when does any factory or school build a little chapel for the Christians? It would be unheard of and we all know it. We will live (or maybe die) to regret being so nice to let them all in. They hate us and our government is too afraid of being politically correct to take action.

So you think as a white Christian male you don't get any special treatment, have you studied history at all?

Because of those fine upstanding white Christian males LOL the rest of the world was oppressed, raped, pillaged, had their land stolen and had other atrocities committed towards them.

Are the Christian values you are referring to manifest destiny and slavery? Those existed when the constitution was drafted. After the constitution was ratified the US endorsed the Christian value of apartheid aka Jim Crow. I suppose the Tuskeegee experiments are another example of those fine Christian values. I'm sure Medger Evers, Leonard Pelitier and Teena Brandon could tell you all about how fine Christian values helped them. Well Leonard could the other two are dead. I am saddened that you don't get any special treatment perhaps this country hasn't been kind enough to you. I'm sorry you were denied opportunities for jobs, education, housing and treated unfairly in the eyes of the law or other people. Holy Alan Bakke this is beyond unfair!

I'm sure God approves of the fine Christian values this country has shown ALL of it's citizens over the years. Hatred, oppression and economic disenfranchisement are after all the principles on which America was founded and it's nice to know that nothing has changed. God Bless America.

I am glad I have the freedom to marry or not but if someone gay (ooh I said a naughty word) is stupid enough to get married why can't they be as miserable as straight people. After all misery is one of the Christian values on which this country was founded.

O'er the land of the "free" (if you believe in the current administration) and the home of the brave (with no exit strategy)

No, this country was NOT founded on Christian values. Which you would know if you actually read anything about the founding of this country.

The words of the Treaty of Tripoli (1796) directly contradict any claim that the country was founded by and for Christians Just a handful of years after the Constitution was written, Congress said that "the government of the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian Religion". (Article 11 of the Treaty).

As if it weren't enough that most of the Founders were Deists, not Christians, and that the word "God" doesn't appear anywhere in the Constitution. But the Constitution twice says that religion should have no place in govt -- Article VI and the 1st Amendment.

The John Doe Act was removed because it was bad law, subject to abuse, and was redundant given existing laws.

The Bible may talk about freedom, but so does the Koran -- and nothing in the US Constitution talks about the Bible.

This country has been built by minorities since its very inception. From Christian Puritans to the Irish, Italians, Chinese, even African slaves. This country was built on the idea of inclusion, not exclusion. This country was built on the idea that no matter where you come from, no matter your race, religion or creed, you will be welcomed here and you can be successful as long as you work hard and use your smarts. Immigrants are the life blood of his country.

Also, if homosexuality is a sin, doesn't the bible also say that
"Do not wear clothes of wool and linen woven together. (NIV, Deuteronomy 22:11)"? I am still waiting for people that wear clothes made from different materials to be condemned.

As a white Christian female, I don't think I deserve any special treatment. Considering that the United States is not a theocracy, it doesn't bother me that Christianity is not used as the basis for all of our laws. As for the issue of "accomadating" [sic] minorities, fairness requires that every person (or group of people) has what it needs to be successful, not that every person receives exactly the same thing. Since I am a Christian and believe in justice, I think it's only fair that certain groups be given different opportunities than me from the government, since I derive so much opportunity from my status as an upper-middle class white Christian female.

No, you don't get special treatment; minorities do so we can reach your level. As a white male, you are at the top of the social food chain. The problem is you don't realize that because I doubt you have any idea what it's like to be anything else.

The religious sensibilities of the Founding Fathers have been debated for decades, and it may surprise you to hear they were not as religious as you'd like to think. Do some research on the topic and you'll see that they were thorough politicians:They said one thing to appease the people, but many of them expressed their doubts privately.

Luckily, biblical sentiments do not govern this country. I hope they never will. I'm not surprised if you disagree; the Bible has been used to justify white men's supremity for hundreds of years.

Yes. We are being way too PC about this. So is England, Spain and a host of other countries around the world. The radical Islamic terrorists know that and are planning accordingly. Be afraid, be very afraid...a nuclear device explosion is coming to a big city near you someday, if we let our guard down. I'm thinking some time in 2008 or 2009 after a Democrat is elected.

It's not that we are accomadating minorities. It's accomadating to sin. God told us that things would get like this. It's pretty much like sodom and gomorrah. Although its now worldwide.

No, I don't agree. What special treatment are you referring to? I haven't seen any 'special treatment' of Muslims. Please, enlighten me to the special treatment, because all I've seen is the same old bigotry.
