Snails make horrible, slimy but ever so amazing to watch pets. I have an African Snail. They're technically herbivores. They eat leaves, lettuce, cabbage, etc. You probably won't be able to find one in the Winter as it's just way too cold for them. Your best bet is to wait until next month until it rains on a dry day (better at night), after it rains go out like 5 minutes later and the street should be swarming with snails. Look on/near walls or the pavement. Although you'll likely be watching the snail for ages, haha, they can NOT be trained to recognize you. They are not a dog and aren't really the thing to become attached with. I keep my African Snail in a large fish tank. No water, no pumps, just a large fish tank. Make sure that it's glass or plastic, not a cage. As for terrain, I actually just put garden soil in the tank. Soil, two fairly large rocks, few pebbles and wood branches in there. The snail's in heaven. Good luck! Hope you had a lovely Christmas and that you have a wonderful New Year, Digital Bulldog~ <3

Have you seen Spongebob? Gary can kick some *** when he needs to and Spongbob feeds him dog food. Maybe your snail needs a new diet. I would love a killer snail....

do you have a male snail? get a female one and propagate a million snails then scatter them all over your floor at nights. When burglars step on them the cracking shells would surely... a.) let out a scream from the snails..b.) let out a scream from the burglar... c.) wake you up from the commotion

you can't. you need a dog for that. a snail would more likely be killed when trying to attack people who break in.

It's possible only under two circumstances:
First, you have to have a REALLY BIG SNAIL.
Second, the person who is attempting to break into your house has to be excruciatingly slow.
Good luck with that, though. LOL

First start him attacking a lettuce. Drag it accross the room with a string. Then slowly build him up that way. Be patient
