Wash you pillow case every month. I wouldn't suggest washing you pillow, because it doesn't really clean everything. What you should do is buy another pillow every six months.

wash your pillow case everytime u change your bed , which means at least once a week . i change all our beds 2 times a week especially with the hot weather and the smelly bodys that prespire during the nite. wash your pillow one time a month unless it is a feather pillow then u cant wash it or the feathers will matt up. if u have a feather pillow place it outside in the sunshine for one to 4 hours and it will smell fresh and clean. and yes germs get in the pillow when u drool and stuff like that. good luck and i hope this helped u...

Because bacteria and germs can grow, you should wash your pillowcases at least once a week. I usually wash my pillows 3-4 times per year.

Wash the pillow cover every week! Washing the pillow depends on type and how sweaty or dirty your head is. My DH sweats easily and tends to be a big oily.........he'll never have wrinkles! His pillow is washed every month, replaced every year. Mine I stretch out about twice as long.
I read somewhere you should replace your pillow every six months! Yipes! Apparently dust mites are very difficult to eliminate from pillows.

Wash only washable ones. If not, change them every year.
