Do you feel feminine or have a good feeling in you that is proud of you for being mature enough to do womanly things? Do you feel grown up and proud of yourself? I am just curious :)

I feel good after I've cleaned. But I hate to cook. I do not have any good feeling when I do that. But I don't think I'll have much of a good feeling at all thinking that doing something like cooking or cleaning is 'meant' for me. Honestly I don't feel 'grown up' as you say, because that's just ridiculous. I do feel 'proud', as you say, after making a place livable. But a four-year-old could do that. I do not feel 'feminine', because it IS work, and sometime hard work to do it all. Especially the vacuuming! How can one feel 'feminine pushing and pulling something like vacuum around for hours??? And I have a heartwarming feeling when I'm sitting a clean room with my girlfriend

Quite honestly, I hate cooking and cleaning and such. I do it because I have to. I'm a responsible adult living alone and these things need to be done, so I have to do it. It's a rare moment that I want to cook and enjoy that, so when the mood strikes me, I go with it. The rest of the time I do it simply so I can eat. The only time I haven't minded cleaning is when it's not my house. It's always easier for me to help someone else clean than it is to do my own cleaning. I do feel proud though when I've completed all the chores I've planned for my day. It's an accomplishment and I don't have to worry about them again for at least a day or two. And none of it ever makes me feel feminine. Depending on what chores I do, the more physical or involved ones leave me sticky and sweaty so much that I feel disgusting and the least feminine that I possibly could.

Yes. Heartwarming, feet aching, nail breaking, exhaustion. Especially when the kids were little.

Proud of myself for doing womanly things? No.

Proud of myself for maintaining my home and taking awesome good care of my kids, and for having gotten through the tough times? Yes.

Do I feel grown up? No. Not since I was a kid and got my first apartment.

I don't Feel grown up I Am grown up.

I feel like a complete family when other members get off of their lazy butts and come help me......I feel so loved then. I usely cook a meal after I have mowed lawn, chopped fire wood and changed the oil in the cars! I am more proud of the fact that I can do for myself, too! I am not a whiney little woman waiting for the pat on the head.....thunk thunk!

I feel a " heartwarming" feeling when I do womanly things such as having a good career, paying my own bills, supporting my child, owning my own home, putting myself through law school, debating with SEXIST men. You know the basics we grown up women do.

I like doing those "womanly" things, but I know that lots of women don't care for those things. I enjoy taking care of my husband, family, and home, but it seems that not many other women care for that kind of thing.

We're all different, though, so what works for one woman may not work for another woman. People seem to get so cranky with me when I say that I enjoy being a submissive wife to my husband. However, I have a great husband who takes good care of me, and we're very happy in our marriage.

Live and let live!

Why would I feel feminine if I can clean the house? I'm proud of myself if it’s some great accomplishment. If I just decided to clean off my desk, I’m not going to feel ‘proud’.... Oh look! I can move trash off my desk! =O

Well....I don't mind doing them. But my heart doesn't exactly overflow with feminine joy and pride while I'm doing laundry or baking a cake ;-) I feel the absolute best after a long walk or after I've stood up for what I believe in.

Nope, I'd rather be resting in front of the TV with a cup of tea, rather then cleaning the house or cooking dinner.
