I would ask my 2 grandchildren to come with me. I would leave from New York and to to Scotland. And show my grand kids where I grew up and they would get to meet my family. And see everything I talk about. Then we would go to London and visit another Sister and see Buckingham Palace, Piccadilly Square, The Tower of London, etc that when I am long gone they will always have these great memories. And retell the story of how they went to Scotland with there Grandma.

This may seem odd for a liberal, but I'm Catholic:
1) Judea, 29 AD or whenever the accepted date is for the crucifixion.
My wife and my kids.
Mourn and rejoice.
2) If that weren't possible, Gettysburg 1863 to Lincoln's address with the same folks and for the same reason.
3) There are several tied for the bronze medal: Ancient Tenochtitlan w/ the same crew, 1787 Philadelphia and the Constitutional Convention, a trip to Elizabethan England to see Shakespeare performed the first time 'round and perhaps even see our greatest poet, and a trip to Ancient Rome. I wonder what the exchange rates would be...?.

1) I'd take Mom, Dave, Puck, Steve, Joy and my Dad's ash.
2) Hawaii we could all use the nice relaxing vacation!
3) We'd take the tours and shop, and get plenty of time on a beach (private would be so nice) with a bahama mama in our hands and I would take some of my Dad's ash and sprinkle it in the ocean.
