Yes.
My cousin is dead and the woman who hit him is in a wheelchair. She was "celebrating" the first day of vacation and he was on his way home from work. It will be 5 years in September we lost him and I miss him everyday.
Peace.

Yes my relatives have been affected by a drunk driver. An army man who was off duty decided to get drunk and get behind the wheel. He took the life of my cousin's baby girl who was only 5 months old. My cousin and her husband lost their limbs. My brother was hit by a drunk driver as well and he is alive because he was driving his truck that night not his fiance's car. If he had taken her car, he wouldn't have lived cause the guy who hit him was also driving a truck. Take care!

My grandfather was killed in a drunk driving accident. When I was about a month or so old, my lag was broken when we got hit by a drunk driver. A friend of mine is paralyzed from the neck down because he was driving his motorcycle drunk. I don't care if someone over 21 decides to drink, but it makes me irate to see anyone get behind the wheel when they've been drinking. The punishments definately need to be stiffer for it.

Yes, my friend and I were rear ended and got out of the car to look at the damage. A drunk driver came down the road and hit my friend, and he died in my arms. I quit drinking that day and have never had another drop to drink. I might joke about drinking, but I don't drink at all anymore.

Yes, someone I was quite close to had been and alcoholic for years. She finally gave up drinking and was going to church and getting her life back on track. On evening she was driving home from a church function and was hit head on by a drunk driver. Alcohol killed her even though she had given it up.

-a friend ended up in prison for several years for secondary manslaughter from a DUI.
...many lives were affected (including their own) from their choice to drink and drive...never a good choice.
