Area = 40 x 50 ft = 2000 sq ft
each tiles coveres 2x2 = 4 sqft
so you need 2000/4 = 500 tiles
1 package has 10 tiles, so you need 500/10 = 50 packages
at $13/package
50 packages costs $13 x 50 = $650

so Material cost = $650 + sales Tax
+ labor costs

to find the cost to cover, we need to find the area of the rectangular floor, which is 2(l+b)
Area = 2(40+50)
=2(90)
=180sq.ft
area of the square tile = 2*2=4sqft
no of tiles required to cover the floor=180/4 = 45
cost of 10 tiles = $13
cost of 45 tiles = (13/10)*45=$58.5

40 x 50 feet, but the tiles are 2x2, so it is 20 x 25 tiles.

20 * 25 = 500 tiles.

500 tiles / (10 tiles / package) = 50 packages.

50 packages * ($13 / package) = $650
