Dubai visit visa is initially valid for sixty days to use it (to enter to Dubai) from the date of issue. Once you reach there you can stay 60 days and subject to extend further 30 days.

If you did not use it, then the visa validity can be renewed two times till 6 months. if you are not willing to use it then your sponsor should be cancelled the visa. Remember, your sponsor will not get any refund (the visa fee he paid) at the time of cancellation.

Visit visa gets activated from the day you enter Dubai airport. Once the visa is taken, there is no way to get refund. Company visa costs just Dhs 200.

the visa, once issued, is valid for 30 days from the date of issue for the purpose of entry into uae. if u cannot go during this period it becomes a worthless piece of paper. even if your friend in uae applies for cancellation of visa no refund is given for the visa fee paid. it is a total loss

60 days from the day of issuance. If you go to the UAE embassy and prove to them that you cannot use it due to an emergency. you can get an extension for another 30 days.
