Okay, so whenever i try to open up a movie file, my comp freezes.
I then uninstall my video card drivers, and then i can watch my movies, but the quality isnt so great.
When i reinstall the video card driver (nVidia XFX) my movies freeze up again and so does my comp.

uhhhhhhhhh what???

Get the latest drivers from www.nvidia.com. If that doesn't help contact your graphics card manufacturer as it may have gone faulty.

Try downloading the latest drivers from Nvidia instead of the ones from your XFX CD.

You could also change to 16-bit color instead of 32-bit, see if that helps...
