Yea i like that idea too, football is a long season by having more Preseason games you increased the chance of getting hurt and unproductive in the Regular season. Plus the team get more money in the regular season games, preseason you get almost nothing. So i think the NFL should drop 1 preseason game and add 1 to the regular season game. It's a win win situation for everybody, the team get more gate money and we fans get to 1 extra game. Wow that's sound like a good idea to me.

The problem is that NFL teams require that you buy the pre-season games with a season ticket package. Noone wants to go to a preseason game! Four games, 20% of the season, is far too long. At a minimum they should drop two pre-season games. Whether or not they add them to the season is up for debate. As this would mean a wild card team that makes it to the Superbowl would play 22 games in a season. That can take a huge toll on player health.

if they drop a preseason game, it should not be added to the regular season. 16 games is just right. and besides, if you add it to the regular season, all the same risks are still there, except star players won't be laughing on the sideline for 3 quarters, they'll be in harm's way the whole game.

only if they're going to play one of those 17 games in a neutral site...otherwise just dump one of the preseason games and leave it at that.
The major league baseball teams don't play 40 spring training games to prepare for a 162-game season, which means the NFL doesn't need 4 preseason games to prepare for a 16-game schedule.

I think they should leave it how it is. In preseason the starting players don't play much it's mostly backups because they don't want there starters getting hurt. Adding more regular season games, ups the odds that more players would get hurt because starters play all out in regular season games. So it would be more likely that by the end of the season your favorite players would probably be on the injured reserves. It's a dangerous sport we love.

No.
If you mean that every team would play 17 games, then some teams would have 9 home games and others would have 8.
If you mean to add a week to the regular season, but each team would still play 16 games, then each team would have two bye weeks instead of one.
I think it's better the way it is.

Yes. Add the game to the regular season. Play one game at a neutral site. Make every team do it once while in the process expand the game globally.
