Ethnicity is what many people should say as instead of race when describing different groups of people by their culture. There are many ethnic groups in the world, but only one race of people. So the next time someone says race when describing a group of people, correct them by saying the proper term which is ethnicity or ethnic group. Also tell them that there is only one race and that is the human race.

That's hard to define. I think the closest I can come is by saying that race is very general and broad and ethnice groups are sub-groups within a race made of people who have things in common for instance, a common language, religion, live in a certain geographic loaction, common history, whatever,...
For instance you have the white race and within that group you have ethnic Germans, French, Serbs, Albanians, Russians and so on.

there is only one rae: human.

some outdated forms of human classification attempt to portray three "races" of human, but these have been discredited, and only linger among pop culture.

there are about 33 major classifications of human ethnicities, and many of those have subdiviions as well.
