To Republicans?

Question

I am a Democrat, but have great respect for Arlen Specter (R) even though he's not from my state (would vote for him on character). Isn't it dangerous to allow a president (any president, D or R) to be allowed to manipulate the Constitution and the Congress and prevent real oversight. I certainly do not think that Bush is evil and the end is upon us, but i do think that if the US allows precident to be established on policy that infringes on the individual...the end of what America stands for is coming. Do you respect the Bill of Rights? Or do you just vote for your pocketbook?

I was reading about the letter to Specter about a much wider surveillance program...secret even to Congress that very well could include data mining...is this the America you want your children to inherit?

there's nothing wrong with my perception of reality...I see gray, black and white...and even color, but sadly not all the ones in the 64 color box

Well, I grew up with 3 generations of Republicans. Then I saw Watergate, and I started looking at the othe side of the mirror.

Bush believes he is King. It is just not the country that I grew up in any more, and the Republican faithful put this loser on the throne, a second time.

If you care about the country in the long term, not this quarter, not this decade, but in our great grandchildren's time, we have to end this madness.

Vote them out in '08!
