i want to go to school to become a history/social studies teacher what is a good school in socal-la area-to go too

Los Angeles has a ton of schools. you should know this. Go to your councelor and ask when you are applying. If you are not in high school yet, when you get there there is a college councelor on site.

lol...History/Social Studies... Social Studies is the field you want to concentrate in. History, Government, and Geography fall under this. Good Luck, I'm in this field and can't wait for my future as a teacher. Although it'll be awhile since I'm going into the navy before my senior year.

Check with your State teaching licensing department. They have the best information on what schools in your area offers the best courses and graduates the most potential teachers.

Any college with a 4 year program will do. You also need to take some education courses.
