I am not pregnant. I have always had irregular periods. My doc says it is not a problem as long as it is not over 3 months. The problem is their solution is to give me birth control. But I have a blood clotting disorder and the last time I was on birth control I had a pulmonary embolism. It is not safe for me to take any bc including progestrin only. Wondering if there is any non hormonal therapy that will jumpstart my period that I can bring up with the doc.

When I was trying to get pregnant for my son, I took chasetree berry and wild yam to regulate my periods. It worked! He's 8 now.

These are herbs, like from GNC.

Your doctor needs to find out why you haven't had a period. You may have a hormone imbalance or some other medical problem. If your doctor won't make some effort to diagnose you then find another doctor.

Are you athletic? Most lady athletes have that condition called amenorrhea. Don't take BC pills.

Don't take the birth control pill.

Just relax and don't get stressed.
