And also with them being big and low they tend to REALLY hurt when they are hit or squished....then they go bigger after and hurt!

Edit: Dude, the size shape and orientation of the penis, scrotum and testicles really vary from man to man. Do not worry if it hangs too low. There are really men who are 'low hangers'. Then there are some whose scrotum is almost hugging close to the body.
It is normal unless you feel pain or discomfort. Maybe try wearing briefs or boxer briefs. Or really consult a urologist.
