I bought a gun from a person with a clean record and a gun permit in georgia, how do I put the gun in my name? I have a signed contract from this person.

pay yer money, take yer gun.
there is no gun registration in the state.
I presume that this is a private sale, not from a gun dealer.

Hey congrats on the new gun purchase!! I think what you should do is call your local SBI or FBI office and they will change the numbers over to your name. That is what i have always done. Matter of fact just done it the other day when i purchased a new Glock 29. So good luck man and be carefull.
