Maison Ikkoku is a romantic comedy, and the story is pretty good -- like Love Hina, it actually goes somewhere.
Ah My Goddess (aka Oh My Goddess) is a bit similar. Maburaho has a flavor pretty similar to Love Hina. Ai Yori Aoshi is heavier on the romance and lighter on the comedy, but also sort of similar. Though with these three series, the female lead is more submissive than Naru from Love Hina.
If you like a strong (maybe even semi-violent) female lead (like Naru), try Ranma 1/2, or the Tenchi Muyo OAV series, or Inu-Yasha. Or maybe even Case Closed, though that's more of a mystery series and the romance sort of takes a back seat.

InuYasha, Ranma 1/2, and Urusei Yatsura all have romance, and are by the same author.
If you want a good, strong romance I'd suggest Ai Yori Aoshi.
