You are not in the wrong. You don't deserve friends who lie and winds up getting caught in their lies. This is a sign that they are not trustworthy so don't waste your time being friends with someone that doesn't even tell the truth. You deserve a friend that will value and appreciate your friendship and will always be honest with you- no matter what.
As for your friend Jack- what he and Stacy are doing is their business and you shouldn't even worry about what they're doing. If Jack wants to cheat on his girlfriend and sleep with Stacy, it is his decision to make and he will pay for that later. In the meantime, go out there and meet new people. You will find a friend who will be honest with you about everything. Good luck.

I don't see how you can be in the wrong. I mean I pretty much have a friend that is the same freaking way. Many say I'm judgmental and over protective of her but at the same time they excuse her behaviour as how people are today. So in all reality I just have made her an aquaintance. We aren't as close as we were. Because as I figure she can go out there and lie as much as she wants now and be as "free" as she needs to be. But I don't have to hear about her lies as much anymore.
P.S. I know you aren't trying to control your friends. You genuwinely care for them. But many will try and tell you to butt out of it. You can't turn off how you feel. But you can stand back when "Jack's" gf reams him a new one and same for your other friend. Good luck to you in future friendships.

Sorry to hear your bf hurt you like that. Honestly ask yourself if she is REALLY a friend? Friends don't lie to each other and they don't mess around with your guy. Friends like that, who needs enemies! I'm sure she wasn't thinking about your friendship at the time. You even gave her a second chance and she wronged you AGAIN. However, remember it does take two and your guy friend isn't so inicent either. I believe it's time to give your bf space. If she continues to hurt you, you'll know for sure the friendship is over. Do what your heart tells you. It's hard to be friends with a liar. You will always second guess her. Move on girl! No bf would treat you like this. Good Luck!

i too, have had to break up friendships because of consistent lying.
I am sorry that your friendship ended up this way, but it seems to me that you are totally justified in your actions. Why be friends with someone you cannot trust? if this breakup is because of Stacy's lying, and not because of what stacy and jack freely choose to do, then i see no wrong.

Yes and no. You have the right to have an honest relationship with your friends. But it is up to her to do what she wants, your not her mother and she shouldn't have to answer to you. All in all this doesn't seem like a good friendship and your both better off to break it now for good.

It's not really your business how Stacy and Jack lead their lives. It's not up to you to control their behavior. You are in the wrong.
