Apparently no one else will be allowed to testify and they can't really go to the Justice Dept. so whats next?

A special prosecutor can only be attempted (and it would be tricky without going through the DoJ) if their are reasonable grounds to believe a law has been broken.

From what I've seen, Gonzales amended his testimony to avoid a perjury charge -- so no easy way to go after him.

However, he has demonstrated sufficient unethical actions and lack of competence in his ability as AG --- whether be broke the law or not -- for Congress to initiate impeachment proceedings. Violation of his ethical obligations as an attorney qualifies under the impeachment procedures as a misdemeanor.

No. I think if Congress has not found anything yet, they never will. It is a waste of our time and our tax money. Bush is dead-on in forcing Congress to go to court.
